We are so excited to be well under way with our I ♥ Colorado Weddings Workshop schedule. Tuesday’s I ♥ Inspiration was met with brides, grooms, and mother of the brides all filling their night with ideas, creativity, and personal touches that can be added to their upcoming weddings. Jen with Anthologie Press and Lisa with LWeddel Designs were on hand to add ways to make your floral and paper needs come to life. We are looking so forward to our next workshop night scheduled for January 31st, I ♥ Paper! Hope to see you all there.

We just loved this program menu board created for a wedding in North Carolina. What a fun and unique way to show your love and appreciation for all your loved ones who are a part of your ceremony. It was hand written adding that extra special touch.

What to do with a board like this after your wedding? Hang it in your kitchen afterwards to continue “written” words of love and happiness for years to come

Bringing “Life” to your Bouquet!

When bridesmaids from an October wedding that took place on Emerald Island in North Carolina approached us wanting to create a special memento the bride would be sure to remember forever we knew exactly what to do. Brooch bouquets, like the one we helped create for this bride you see here captured by Casey Futrell Photograpy, is a unique way to bring life to your walk down the aisle.

With this particular bouquet we had each bridesmaid send us brooches (about 4-5) they have either collected or found. Each one told a story that was all brought together and shared on the wedding day. The bride was just delighted! Brooch bouquets bring family and friends together to share memories, tell stories and help create something new that will last a lifetime.

Kevin Taylor’s Opera House All Lit up with Love

It was a night of ballerinas, phantoms, and lions! We were so lucky to be a part of Ashley and Michaels wedding at Kevin Taylor’s at The Opera House. The venue was alive and filled with the magic of the theater. From a starlight ceiling to a serenade waltz down the aisle each moment was touched with love. The colors were a pop of tangerine and a slate grey, a perfect palette to the downtown scape. Guests were treated to Kevin Taylor’s famous fine dining and the band kept them dancing well past the last song! It was truly a night to remember. Thank you Ashley and Michael for letting us be part of such a special day.

Anna Be Presents…Five

What a night of ambiance, creativity and giving back. This past Thursday was Anna Be’s Bridal Boutique’s Fifth Birthday Celebration. We were so lucky to be one of the premier planners to be invited as part of the celebration. Together with L Weddell Designs, Anthologie Press and Hosea Rosenburg with Blackbelly Catering we set to create a booth to spark the imagination and creativity that can be added to your wedding. The aspen tree, perfect for a romantic ceremony, was the centerpiece of the booth. Set with over 750 David Austin roses the tree was filled with love from each of the wedding wish tags. A perfect way to bringing in all of your loved ones well wishes to your ceremony. Hosea filled with booth with his delectable desserts, he kept people coming back over and over to experience his creativity. It was truly a night to remember. Thanks so much to the ladies of Anna Be for letting us be a part of such a special night.

Mountain Happiness

When thinking of a perfect wedding day one cant help but think of Della Terra Mountain Chateau. That was the location of our beautiful couples wedding this past weekend. You cant ask for a better location filled with nature, elegance and beauty. We were so blessed to be a part of Catherine and Joaquin’s wedding day. Vibrant flowers filled the room and touches of Estes Park were a part of each element of the wedding. The bride was a vision in lace as she walked to greet her beaming groom. As the dancing began the guests were treated to participate in the traditional Anniversary Dance. Couples were left dancing on the floor well into over 50 years of marriage. It made for such a special touch to be surrounded by that much love.

April Showers Bring May Flowers at The Oxford Hotel

We were so fortunate to be a part of Meredith and Todd’s wedding this past weekend at The Oxford Hotel. After raining for days the weather could not have been better with not a cloud in the sky. Otto Shultz, an amazing and talented photographer, captured each moment with such character and brilliance.

Vibrant colors were met with vintage elements in this chic downtown celebration. Plum Sage did an amazing job capturing the bright colors loved by the bride and groom that just made the entire room pop!

The ceremony at Trinity Church was a traffic stopper with the 1950′s 14 person convertible Rolls Royce that greeted the wedding party following the ceremony. All the guests were treated to an amazing reception filled with lantern’s that danced above them, props that entertained the guests at the photo booth and a jazz band that kept it going till the very end.

Meredith was the picture of grace and beauty while Todd showed his own personality in his colorful striped socks. All the guests were then invited down to the famous Cruise Room in the lobby of The Oxford Hotel following the reception for what was sure to be a late night bash.

Love is in the air! And, that doesn’t mean tons of your money has to be spent to celebrate.

Some of the most special Valentine’s Days are ones that you take time to make memorable and meaningful. We came up with 3 ideas that we think are romantic, fun, and inexpensive so you can show your special someone how special they really are to you!

2011 Designer Colors

We’ve all heard that honeysuckle is geared to oust last year’s turquoise (and we do LOVE honeysuckle), but we wanted to share that if pink’s not your thing, there are certainly other spectacular options.

It talks about a variety of designers and their 2011 color favorites and inspirations. Some of them that caught our attention are Christian Siriano using “Coral Rose”, Monique Lhuillier enveloping “Silver Peony”, and Lela Rose loving “Regatta”.

Here’s the top contender for 2011′s most popular color (we think it’s fun for everything from place card script to a bridal bouquet accented by a pop of sparkle):

Here it is in one of our bridesmaid bouquets done in a light honeysuckle and white feathers for a romantic, vintage feel.

One of our favorites are for those looking for an alternate to black, we adore adding “silver cloud” to almost any color combination for a sophisticated, yet soft feel:

Even more fun this year is how colors can be at complete opposites, yet still work as beautiful color combinations. We’re starting to use more contrasting colors. For example, a light pink bridesmaid dress highlighted by a navy embellishment can bring interest and style to a wedding. We can’t wait to share pictures of many of our weddings’ fun color combinations this year!
